Janna Tips

Playing as Janna

  • Eye of the Storm can be used on allied turrets.
  • Quickly firing a Howling Gale without the charge up can be used to heavily disable the other team.
  • Timing Janna's ultimate can push enemies away from a wounded ally or even separate enemies.

Playing against Janna

  • Save an interrupt ability for when Janna uses her ultimate.
  • Listen for the charge up sound on Howling Gale in case Janna is trying to hit you with it from off screen or from brush.
  • Janna's at her strongest when buffing another ally. If you can harass her ally, it will weaken her ability to fight you.

Janna passively gains 8% Movement Speed, and nearby allied champions gain this bonus when moving toward her.

Additionally, Janna's basic attacks cause additional magic damage equal to 25/35 (at levels 1/10)% of her bonus Movement Speed.

Janna Howling Gale

Cooldown: 12Cost: 60/80/100/120/140 manaRange: 1700

Janna Q

Summons a whirlwind, which deals 60/85/110/135/160 (+35% bonus Ability Power) magic damage to enemies in its path and knocks them into the air for 0.5 seconds.

The whirlwind can be charged up to 3 seconds. For each second charged, it:

  • Deals 15/20/25/30/35 (+10% bonus Ability Power) bonus damage
  • Knocks up for an additional 0.25 seconds
  • Travels 25% further
Howling Gale always reaches its destination in 1.5 seconds.

Activate again to release the whirlwind early.

Janna Zephyr

Janna W

Passive: While Zephyr is not on cooldown, Janna gains 6/7/8/9/10% (+2% per 100 ability power) Movement Speed and can move through units.

Active: Deals 55/85/115/145/175 (+50% bonus Ability Power) magic damage to an enemy and slows their Movement Speed by 24/28/32/36/40% (+6% per 100 ability power) for 2 seconds.

Janna Eye Of The Storm

Janna E

Shields an allied Champion or turret for 5 seconds which decays over its duration after a 0.75 grace period. The shield absorbs up to 80/115/150/185/220 (+70% bonus Ability Power) damage, and grants 10/17.5/25/32.5/40 (+10% bonus Ability Power) Attack Damage until it is fully depleted.

Each Janna ability that slows or knocks an enemy champion airborne will reduce Eye of the Storm's cooldown by 20%.

Janna Monsoon


Cooldown: 150/135/120Cost: 100 manaRange: 725

Janna R

Summons forth the might of the wind to knock surrounding enemies back and restores 100/150/200 (+50% bonus Ability Power) Health to nearby allies each second for 3 seconds.
